Todd Derbyshire, Senior Pastor

Pastor Todd accepted Christ as his personal Savior at the ripe old age of four, and accepted the Lord's call into ministry when he was eighteen. Todd graduated from Southern Nazarene University in 1993 having already begun full time ministry in 1990.  In the past 25 years he has pastored in Oklahoma and West Texas. Todd is thrilled to currently be the senior pastor of Cross Point Church of the Nazarene in Fort Worth.

Pastor Todd enjoys making pancakes for the kids on his traditional day off and grilling out in the backyard. His hobbies include HO trains, and motorcycle riding. But the greatest joy of his life is time spent with his family and especially his Lord.

Sanitago Rueda, Spanish Ministries Pastor

Santiago accepted the Lord as his personal savior in 2002, at a revival in Fort Worth Texas). A hunger was awakened in his soul that day that led him to Seminary, and to becoming an ordained minister 6 years later. When he first heard about Crosspoint, he was hosting a Spanish church in his house just a few blocks from where Crosspoint was building its new facility. Less than two months later, Santiago's congregation officially joined Crosspoint, where he has since joyfully served as Associate Pastor.

Pastor Santiago is happily married to his wife, Leticia, and father to three grown daughters and 4 grandchildren. In his free time, Santiago likes to read books about theology and other Christian non-fiction.

Jordan Hepler, Youth Minister

When I was 10, I began to feel like I was living in someone else's world.  I felt unimportant and irrelevant.  I suffered from severe depression and felt as though everyone else belonged but me.  Praise God!, that was only a paragraph of my life!  He saved me for the second time on October 5th, 2005 when I was 13.  He washed me off, cleaned up my mind and gave me a new perspective.  The old way was gone, I was rid of the spirit of death and confusion - I became new!  I took back the keys to the Kingdom and began walking with the LORD again.  This land and everything in it belongs to our Father and as His daughter I get to speak this truth over our teens every week!  I get to declare to them their worth and the un-abandoned love of the Father.  Serving our teens at CrossPoint is an absolute privilege.  There is no war that I am uniwilling to fight with them, and no batthe that will ever succeed our King!  He is mighty to save and I am honored to hand out more keys to the Kingdom.

"And, I will be a Father to you, and you will be my sons and daughters, says the Lord Almighty." 2 Corinthians 6:18

"I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven; whatever you bind on eather with be bound in heaven, and wahtever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven." Matthew 16:19

Sherri Mathis, Children's Director

Sherri Mathis grew up in Texas and was the youngest of 3 girls.  She accepted Jesus into her heart at the age of 6.  Sherri knew at a very young age she wanted to have a large family and was blessed with 8 beautiful children.

Sherri has served the church, in one capacity or another, since childhood.  She loves teaching children and sharing from her heart the truth of Christ's love and grace. Her interests outside of church are cooking, gardening and playing with her children and grandchildren.

It is her strong passion to learn more, dig deeper, and share real life with others, in order to be a light in the darkness.

Bethany Boen, Worship Leader

I am a lover of Jesus, my family (husband and three – almost four kiddos), theology, and music. Music has always been part of me. The earliest home videos of me as a small child are of me dancing while my mom played the piano in my grandmother’s living room. I ALWAYS asked to have music on – all day, during school hours (I was homeschooled for most of my elementary and secondary years) - even while I was sleeping. Music just speaks to my soul. It calms me, excites me, liberates me, and helps me to break down the walls that I build up on a regular basis. In my spiritual walk, music has always helped soften my heart, prepare my spirit, and open the ears of my soul.  Worship as a corporate body of believers is such an important part of who we are as believers. Revelations 22:3b says, “For the throne of God and of the Lamb will be there, and his servants will worship him”. Psalms 22:3 says He is enthroned on the praises of Israel. John 4:24 says we must worship God in spirit and in truth. When we come together as a body of believers and worship – truly worship our Lord and Savior in SPIRIT and in TRUTH – not just sing along because it’s what we’re supposed to do, He is enthroned by that. He sits on our praises – on our worship. Our worship is desired by the creator of the universe. And when we do that – when we worship in spirit and in truth, when we allow Him to be enthroned by our true praises and our true worship, we get a glimpse of Heaven. A small glimpse of what it’ll be like for God to be among us, sitting on His throne, and ALL his servants worshipping Him. This is why I love music. This is why I love worshipping within the body of believers. This is my heart. This is my dream every week for CrossPoint. Come join us as we catch of glimpse of Heaven together!

"Just as the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve..."
